Christmas and Back to Texas (December 2024)

We had a relatively quiet Christmas with our grandchildren and daughter-in-law at home. Our granddaughter attended our church’s Christmas Eve service with us. She wore the same dress her aunt last wore 25 years ago. After Christmas we were resting up from our trip to Florida and planning our one-month trip in January to Myrtle Beach. However, things didn’t quite work out that way.

Texas Once More

We thought we had already made our last trip to Texas for the year, but Tammie’s mom fell and broke her hip the day after Christmas. She had her surgery, and we packed up and headed for Texas. We were planning on going to Myrtle Beach for the month of January, but we decided that Tammie’s mom would probably need her for several weeks while she recuperated. We changed our reservations for Myrtle Beach and headed to Texas on December 30. It was our 11th time to cross the Mississippi River in 2024.
