Fall for Myrtle Beach: Week 3 (2025)

Beautiful Beach Weather

Week 3 began quietly but things got a little more exciting as the week progressed. First the weather was amazing. We began the week with high temperatures in the high 60s then progressing to high 70s and ended with a Saturday high temperature of 82 degrees. We spent a lot of time walking on the beach.

We played miniature golf at Captain Hook’s Adventure Park. It has a Peter Pan and Captain Hook theme. We played both courses on an extremely beautiful afternoon.

Warbird Park

Warbird Park in Myrtle Beach stands as a monument to military aviation history and the lasting contributions of the veterans who served there. Located near the Myrtle Beach International Airport, which was home to the Myrtle Beach Army Airfield during World War II, the park provides a poignant reminder of the region's significant role in the war effort. The park contains three military aircraft, a WW II Veterans Memorial, several statutes, a Wall of Service for those who served at the Myrtle Beach Airfield Base, and currently a Field of Honor with 250 American Flags flying in honor of Veterans’ Day 2025. The park also has a walking path, restrooms, and benches to sit and watch airplanes take off from the adjacent Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Our friends Bob and Shelley came to visit us for two nights. We spent time together walking the beach, swimming, riding the SkyWheel, visiting the Wheels of Yesteryear (vintage car museum), eating, and playing cards. They took us to dinner at TBonz on Friday night and we had lunch together at Moe Moon’s where we were able to dine outside on the boardwalk overlooking the beach in what turned out to be a high temperature of 82 degrees.

On Saturday evening we went to the Alabama Theater to see The South’s Grandest Christmas Show. It was great music, singing, dancing, and even some juggling. They put on a tremendous show.
